What's in the Winner's Bag

So how do you know what golf clubs you should buy? That's a great question and we have an entire section devoted to that. Want to buy what the pros are winning with? We can help. Each week, we will highlight what was in the winning golfer's bag. We will also provide links to where you can buy your own.

Will buying the clubs the pros use make you a better golfer? Probably not. As they say, it's usually not the bow, it's usually the archer. That said, it will give you ideas on who is making the hottest new equipment. We highly recommend you see a pro and even do a fitting before you drop serious bucks on equipment. That said, if you want to look like a winning pro.....

NOTE: Some of the pros clubs are not available to the general public, so we worked to find the closest match. Also, GolferScore might earn an affiliate fee if you buy them using our link. (Please do - that helps to pay the costs of writing great content and reviews!)

2020 Masters

The world number one led wire-to-wire and set a new scoring record for the Masters. Not a bad week!

The best part about it is that Dustin Johnson is also such a likeable guy. His teary-eyed interview when he finally got to contemplate the weight of his achievement only makes him that much more likable!

Dustin looks good in that green jacket. If he keeps playing like this, he will have a few more of those hanging up at the clubhouse in Augusta.

So what were the tools Dustin used to win the 2020 Masters? (Other than raw talent, complete poise under pressure and a bunch of birdie puts). Here is what was in Dustin Johnson's golf bag:

2020 Houston Open

Congratulations to Carlos Ortiz! He nailed a 20-foot birdie putt to seal the deal over Dustin Johnson and Hideki Matsuyama.

He started Sunday one shot back but hung on with a solid round.

Dustin Johnson had a chance to tie it, but missed the putt. Hideki shot a course record 63 but fell just short.

So what did Carlos use to get his first PGA Tour Title? Below are the clubs that were in Carlos' bag.

2020 Bermuda Championship

On Thursday, October 29, 2020, when Brian Gay teed off in Southhampton, Bermuda, the Vegas oddsmakers had him at 25-to-1 to win the Bermuda Championship.

On Sunday, he defied the odds. Brian battled back from three shots down on the back nine. He capped it off with a gap wedge to 3 feet for birdie on 18 to force a playoff with Wyndham Clark.

The team at GolflerScore would like to wish Brian a huge “Congrats!”. What did he use to get his big win? Below are the tools that were in Brian's bag.
